1 Opening
Dr. Hande Öszan Bozatli, Founder, declares the meeting open.
2 Membership in EPC
By proposal of Dr. Hande Öszan Bozatli, the House of Democracy should seek membership in the European Policy Centre (EPC).
EPC is an independent, not-for-profit think tank dedicated to fostering European integration through analysis and debate, supporting and challenging decision-makers at all levels to make informed decisions based on evidence and analysis, and providing a platform for engaging partners, stakeholders and citizens in EU policymaking and in the debate about the future of Europe.
The EPC was launched as a think tank in 1996. In 2003, the EPC was established as an international not-for-profit organisation under Belgian law.
More information about the organization can be found here: About us – European Policy Centre (epc.eu)
The reason behind the proposal to the Board is that EPC’s articles of association and subsequent amendments share a common ground with the work of House of Democracy. Furthermore, a collaboration with EPC would strengthen the House of Democracy’s position and work on promoting democracy.
The Board decides to accept the proposal and commission the Executives to apply and negotiate the conditions.
3 Adjournment
Dr. Hande Öszan Bozatli ends the meeting.
