1 Opening

Dr Hande Özsan Bozatli, House of Democracy chair, opens the General Assembly.

2 Confirmation of General Assembly quorum

The General Assembly quorum is confirmed and declared open also to non-members.

3 Approval of the agenda

The agenda is approved as is.

4 Annual report by the House of Democracy chair

Dr Hande Özsan Bozatli, House of Democracy chair provides a report on the development and activities of the House of Democracy.

The report is approved.

5 Election of the Board of Directors

As the mandate is 5 year, no one is up for re-election. The current Board of Directors is as follows:

6 Matters at hand

The General Assembly discussed updates on various ongoing projects, potential collaborations and the development of a House of Democracy concept, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational dialogue and collective input for future activities.

• Mariela Alickolli will send two prepared documents about House of Democracy vision to the group for review and input. All members are asked to review and add comments/ideas to Mariela’s documents once received.
• Hande Özsan Bozatli will prepare needed financial document from the bank account, and provide them to the Board.
• Kurt-Åke Hammarstedt will send information to Romanian colleagues regarding potential collaboration with AER.
• Thomas Hartman will follow up on project with AER to refer to EU funds.
• Hande Özsan Bozatli will communicate with Lucas Mandel and Johanna Mikl-Leitner about possible collaboration opportunities.
• Laura Batalla Adam will try to find a contact person at CPMR (Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions) for potential collaboration. Mariela Alickolli will provide Laura with details about CPMR functioning and collaboration possibilities.
• Hande Özsan Bozatli and Kurt-Åke Hammarstedt will handle legal and bureaucratic matters in Brussels.
